Ian was one of the first employees to join the Office of the Commissioner in December 2002 after successfully completing his studies at the University of Malta, where he obtained a degree in computing and also in management. During the years, Ian has acquired a level of expertise in data protection. Currently, he holds the position of Director where his main areas of responsibility include investigating complaints relating to both data protection and freedom of information, advising the Commissioner on various local and European data protection issues, conducting on-site inspections and investigations and devising the necessary strategies to implement the new data protection legal framework (GDPR) which shall apply as from 25th May 2018.
Inger is Deloitte’s in-house counsel and works with all functions handling matters of a legal nature varying from day-to-day contracting, policy drafting, implementation review and update, consulting and advice on legislation effecting Deloitte’s practice such as Employment, Anti-Money Laundering, Data Protection. She has been instrumental in implementing GDPR at Deloitte Malta and is also working with numerous external clients to assist them with their GDPR preparations.

Dominic is a senior manager in Deloitte Malta’s Risk Advisory team and manages engagements related to risk management, internal audit and regulatory compliance. Dominic is currently working with around a dozen organisations on their GDPR readiness projects comprising training, gap analyses exercises and implementation assistance. He has also presented sector specific seminars to English language schools, the funds sector, stockbrokers and the insurers.
